Géraldine Duthé is a Research Director at the French Institute for Demographic Studies (Ined). Her research focuses on the measurement of mortality and health, as well as the rise of non-communicable diseases, particularly in Africa. A recipient of a Franco-American Fulbright scholarship, she was a visiting researcher at Columbia University in 2012. She served as scientific coordinator of a European project on the valorization of demographic data in Africa from 2016 to 2019. She was also co-editor-in-chief of the journal Population from 2020 to 2024 and a member of the Council of the International Union for the Scientific Study of Population from 2021 to 2025. Since 2024, she has been Deputy Director for Research at Ined.
